Flicks & Fireworks

You won’t have to go past the parking lot…

If you’re in Orlando this weekend and you’re looking for something fun to do in the evening, you might want to check out what SeaWorld Orlando has planned. They are going to hold what they are calling Flicks & Fireworks. It will take place in the SeaWorld parking lot.

With Flicks & Fireworks, the parking lot is going to become a drive-in theater. There will be food trucks that will start serving around 7:45 in the evening. At 9:00, the fireworks will begin. Immediately following the fireworks, a movie will be shown. It’s a nice change of pace, a blast to the past, and a way to have a good time while practicing social distancing.

Flicks & Fireworks will be held on three consecutive evenings. The movie on July 10 will be Shark Tale. On July 11 you can watch A Dog’s Purpose. The final evening, July 12, The Karate Kid will be shown. SeaWorld says that this is a one weekend only event, although if it proves to be popular who knows what might happen.

Tickets cost $50 per vehicle, so this could be a great activity for a family with a large minivan. If you are a SeaWorld Annual Passholder, you can receive a 20% discount. Masks are required if you are outside of your car. You can find more information and make your reservation here.
