The second Disney resort has reopened. Hong Kong Disneyland officially reopened on June 18. Obviously I wasn’t there, but I’ve done a bit of research to see what I could find out. It looks like everything went smoothly, I couldn’t find any complaints.

While the exact percentage hasn’t been released, Hong Kong Disneyland is running at a limited capacity. They have put social distancing measures in place, including in the lines. Touchless payments are encouraged. There is extra disinfecting and sanitizing.

Face coverings are required for all Cast Members and guests who are two years old and older. From what I heard, it was being strictly enforced, even if there was just a slight infraction. It was a warm and humid day, and people were still wearing face masks.

Disney started the day by welcoming more than 100 local families. The company has stated that they intend to work with non-profit organizations to bring people hope.

It’s fun to see other parks reopen. It makes the reopening of the Walt Disney World theme parks next month feel that much closer. Disney Parks Blog shared a short video of the Hong Kong Disneyland reopening. You can watch it here.
