The 2020 version of Star Wars Celebration has been canceled. It was to be held in Anaheim, California on August 27–30. While this is sad news for Star Wars fans like me, it is not unexpected. The official Star Wars fan event draws tens of thousands of people each day.

While the 2020 event has not been rescheduled, we do know when the next one will take place. The next Star Wars Celebration will be held August 18-21, 2022. It will take place in Anaheim. There will not be a convention in 2021.

For those who have tickets, you can either transfer your tickets to the next event, or you can request a refund. Those who transfer will receive a complimentary Stormtrooper pin as a thank you. All refund requests must be made by August 26.

Anyone who pre-ordered merchandise can request a refund, or you can still receive what you ordered. Extra exclusive Celebration merchandise will be sold online at a later date.

Also, Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite, which was to be held on August 27, has been postponed. The new date has not been announced. More information is available at Disneyland.com/StarWarsNite. You will need to scroll to the Separately Ticketed Events section.
