While eyes have been on Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge for years, another major franchise is also soon to be represented at Disney Parks here in the U.S. The Marvel-based Avengers Campus is on it’s way to Disney California Adventure at Disneyland Resort, and we now know that it will open on July 18!

When the land opens, one new ride will open with it. WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure will be a family-friendly ride where you will have a chance to sling some webs and capture Spider-Bots. You’ll wear 3D glasses and ride in a “Web Slinger vehicle”. The attraction will use your movement to sling the webs, making you feel like a superhero! The icing on the cake is that Tom Holland has returned to the Spider-Man role for the adventure. There will be no height requirement.

Also ready for opening day will be The Sanctum, where you can learn from Doctor Strange. Visit after dark to see the Orb of Cagliostro “flowing with magical energy”. At Avengers Headquarters you might encounter several Avengers. Superheroes need to eat, so stop by Pym Test Kitchen. Ant-Man and The Wasp might have had something to do with the size of the foods. You can stock up on superhero gear at WEB Suppliers, and you can look the part after a stop at The Collector’s Wearhouse.

The current ride Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! will be part of Avengers Campus once it opens. An e-ticket attraction is also on the way, although an opening date (or year) has not yet been officially announced. Rumor is that it will open in 2022. The ride will allow you to fly along with the Avengers, and visit some of the worlds that are part of the franchise.
