Regal Eagle progress on January 6, 2020 An opening date has not yet been announced for Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue at Epcot, but it looks like it’s getting close. I stopped by yesterday, and there have been significant changes. The eagle in the name refers to Sam Eagle of Muppets fame. He will be featured prominently in the new counter service eatery. Regal Eagle Smokehouse is officially listed as opening “winter 2020”. When I hear something else, I’ll let you know.
