Normal procedure when entering a Walt Disney World theme park is to scan your finger to prove that it’s you. Sometimes on busy days Disney will turn that off, in order to get guests into the park faster. It’s also possible to use a picture ID instead of a finger scan, for personal reasons. If you’re hoping to get into a Boarding Group for Rise of the Resistance, make sure you scan your finger. The My Disney Experience App has not been recognizing that people who haven’t scanned their fingers are in the park. I am sure that Disney is working on a solution, but you don’t want to arrive early, only to miss out.
