The Holidays Outside of Walt Disney World: Now Snowing in Celebration, FL

Share
It’s snowing in Florida!

No one does the holidays quite like Walt Disney World, but it is not the only game in town! Over the next few days I hope to share with you a few of the other local seasonal offerings. I’ll also mix in some Walt Disney World information, because this is going to be a big week!

One of my favorite holiday events in Central Florida is also one of the silliest. Now Snowing takes place nightly in Celebration, FL. On Market Street it will snow each night! The snow will fall at 6:00, 7:00, 8:00, and 9:00. Of course it’s not really snow, it’s snoap. It still does the trick. If you use your imagination it is easy to see real snow, only without needing the gloves and hats.

There is more to the celebration in Celebration than just snoap being shot out of boxes. There is ice skating on a plastic rink, carolers, sleigh and train rides, and pictures with Santa. There is also a glorious Christmas tree. On December 14 there will be a holiday concert called A Countdown to Christmas. The town of Celebration knows how to put on a family friendly party!

One of the best parts about Now Snowing is the cost. It’s free! The extras such as skating or wagon rides cost extra, but you can still have a great time and not spend a dime. Street parking is free as well. One thing to remember if you’re driving in Celebration, there are a lot of crosswalks, and pedestrians have the right of way. (You don’t want to put a damper on your holiday fun by receiving a $169 ticket and three points on your license.) Now Snowing runs nightly through December 31.
