Trick or Treat At…Typhoon Lagoon?

Looking for something different this Halloween?

One of the top questions that people have when visiting Walt Disney World on October 31 is “Where is a good place to go trick or treating?”. This year, we are being given a new option. The fun new place to spend Halloween in 2019 is Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park!

On October 31, Disney will have three different trick or treat stations at Typhoon Lagoon. They will be located at the park’s entrance, at Safe Harbor, and at Singapore Sal’s. Trick or treating is for all ages, because everyone is a kid while at Walt Disney World.

Trick or treating is not all of the Halloween Day fun that you will find. If you love meeting characters, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon will be the place to be on Halloween. Mickey and Donald will both be greeting. The best part is that they will be wearing their pirate Halloween costumes! There is also going to be a dance party, which will be great after you’ve dried off.

On Halloween only, there will be a special orange Dole Whip treat sold at Happy Landings Ice Cream. It will be served in a sandwich cookie waffle cone, and covered with sprinkles. There are other special activities that include crafts and a chance to vote for your favorite carved pumpkin.

There is one other seasonal change at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park that is not for only Halloween. The water park currently has several pumpkin themed food items for sale. You can try Pumpkin Milkshakes, Pumpkin Sundaes, and Pumpkin Cream Churros. These will be sold through November 23.

For those who worry that October 31 will be too cold to spend the day at a water park, remember that this is Florida. The average daytime temperature in the month of October is about 84 degrees. It will be a great day for the water.
