Praise Wave at SeaWorld Orlando

Praise Wave returns next month

Praise Wave is an annual Christian concert series that takes place at SeaWorld Orlando. There isn’t really a set time of year for it, the series has been all over the place the past couple of years. The dates and the artists for 2019 have been announced.

On Saturday, November 2, Rend Collective will perform. On Saturday, November 9 it will be Francesca Battistelli. The following Saturday, November 16, the series will wrap up with Natalie Grant.

There are two shows each day for Praise Wave. They will take place at 1:00 and 5:00. The shows are included in the price of admission, although you can add reserved seating for $15, and premium reserved seating for $25. The shows take place in the Nautilus Theater, so the weather will not be an issue.

I used to be a DJ at a Christian radio station, and my family and I were Christian concert promoters at one point. I know a fair amount about the genre. SeaWorld has decided to play it safe this time. There is nothing wrong with any of these artists, so don’t take what I am about to say as a complaint. Past Praise Wave artists include Christian rockers Skillet and Switchfoot, and Christian rapper Lecrae. That was one of the things that I liked about the series, there was a good variety of musical genres. Again, I’m not complaining, I like all three artists. I’m just a bit surprised that there is not more variety.

I’ve recommended SeaWorld Orlando to you in the past as an affordable day away from Walt Disney World. Free concerts just add to the appeal. At SeaWorld Orlando there are animal shows, you can learn about conservation, and some of the craziest roller coasters in Central Florida are located at the park. For an extra value add All Day Dining. If you do that, believe me, you won’t leave hungry. If you’re thinking about including the park in your plans, check for deals online. There usually are decent discounts.
