This is going to be fun!At the D23 Expo it was announced that the name of the Guardians of the Galaxy roller coaster that is coming to Epcot is Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Now we have also been given a sneak peek at the ride’s vehicles. The vehicles will be able to rotate 360 degrees, and there could be a reverse launch. The link to the video is below. I have to admit that it looks really cool.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is expected to open at Epcot in time for the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration in 2021. It is located where Universe of Energy used to be. It will be located in the World Discovery neighborhood of the updated Epcot.
We also know that Cosmic Rewind will be a family friendly coaster, which means that it will most likely have a height requirement that is fairly low. Riders will enter the “Galaxarium”, which will teach you about the planet Xandar and also the formation of Earth. It sounds like the entire thing will be an experience.
