“Snow” falls on the hour in Celebration, Florida

Looking for a way to celebrate the holidays outside of the theme parks? What better place to celebrate than Celebration, Florida? The “town” of Celebration (it’s actually part of Kissimmee) was created and developed by the Walt Disney Company. It has a small town feel, but it isn’t far from Walt Disney World.

Celebration loves to celebrate, and during the holidays they do it up big time. This is where you’ll find Now Snowing. Running November 24 through December 31, “snow” falls on Market Street at 6:00, 7:00, 8:00, and 9:00 each evening.

That’s not the only way that they celebrate in Celebration. For a fee there is “ice” skating, train rides, and carriage rides. There are both human and pet photos with Santa on select days.

If that’s not enough, there are three extras that can be experienced during the Christmas season. The annual tree lighting will be held on November 24. The festivities will begin at 5:30. On December 8 and 15, you can enjoy A Countdown to Christmas. There’s entertainment at all three events, and there are special food and drink offerings.

Street parking is free in Celebration, and there is no admission fee for the festivities. If you don’t have a car, Celebration isn’t far from the theme parks, so grab a cab or use your favorite ride sharing service. Now Snowing is extremely popular, especially on the weekends. If you have an evening off, consider stopping by.
