The Reimagined World of Disney Is Better Than Ever!

There’s a lot to love in the reimagined store

For the past several months World of Disney at Disney Springs has been undergoing a major refurbishment. The store remained open, but there was a lot going on. On October 27, the Grand Reopening was held.

The new space is more open

The way that the space is now utilized is great. If you ever saw the store before you probably remember it as a series of themed rooms. The walls inside are down, and now it’s a series of areas instead. The flow is so much better.

Look for this wall

Look for little touches. The backstory says that the space was once an animator’s studio, and there are plenty of sketches and drawings. There is also magic everywhere. My favorite part is found behind one of the checkout counters. Look for the counters that have jars of paint powder behind them, and just watch for a couple of minutes. You can thank me later.

There’s a nice Star Wars section

There’s still a Star Wars section, with plenty of choices. There are T-shirts, mugs, backpacks, and some other fun items. It’s not the largest collection of Star Wars merchandise that you’ll find at Walt Disney World, but then again there are entire stores dedicated to the franchise, so I wouldn’t expect it to be.

The chandeliers are awesome!

Even if you aren’t in the market for princess related items, stop by the princess section and look at the three chandeliers. They’re made out of tiaras and scepters. They’re pretty cool.

Stitch is still causing trouble!

Overall, I really like the look and feel of the new World of Disney. I think that it’s going to be a lot easier to browse in, and I like the fact that the walls are down.
