There are some great picture spots in World Showcase

World Showcase can be kind of confusing, especially if you have never been to Epcot before. Since it is not overrun with rides, some people decide to skip it all together. That is a big mistake. I’ve already talked about why Epcot is great if you’re traveling with kids. The information below is for anyone of any age who plans to visit, because World Showcase is awesome. Here’s what you can do when you’re in World Showcase.

Eat

If you’re a foodie, you’ll love World Showcase. Since there are 11 different countries represented, you can eat your way around the world. There is also a lot of alcohol at Epcot, including specialty drinks from the World Showcase countries. If you drink, please do so responsibly.

Shop

The World Showcase countries all have shopping locations that represent what you would find in the host country. You will find some unique souvenirs. I guess you can shop your way around the world as well.

Rides

Although World Showcase doesn’t have a lot of rides, there are currently two that you will want to try. Frozen Ever After is located in Norway, and Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros is in Mexico. Both are family friendly boat rides. A third ride, based on Ratatouille, is coming to France in time for the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebration in 2021.

Films

If you would like to learn more about the host countries, there are films in Canada, China, and France. Canada and China are both Circle-Vision 360° films and in France it’s a 200° wide screen. You might want to skip these if you have a problem with motion sickness.

Live Shows

There is plenty of live entertainment in World Showcase! From Voices of Liberty in the American Adventure to Sergio in Italy, you’re sure to have a good time. Pick up a Times Guide to know who is performing, where, and when.

Characters

Characters aren’t just for kids. You’ll find plenty of meet and greets around World Showcase. Many of them are face characters, so you can have a real conversation with a princess.

Explore

One of my favorite things to do in World Showcase is to explore. Walk through the buildings, enjoy the museums, and relax in the gardens. There are some great picture spots in World Showcase as well.

Make Friends

You’ll find Cast Members from the host countries in each World Showcase pavilion. Strike up a conversation, and learn something about a different part of the world.
