The Solo: A Star Wars Story premier at Disney Springs

Solo: A Star Wars Story is now in theaters. Don’t worry, this is a spoiler free zone. Instead, I’d like to tell you a little bit about the premier, because at Disney Springs they did it up right.

There are plenty of banners at Disney Springs

While the forecast said that there was a chance of rain, the weather was warm and sunny for the premier. Banners for the movie were scattered throughout West Side. The familiar Star Wars score by John Williams added to the atmosphere.

A photo opportunity at Disney Springs

There were two different types of picture opportunities located near the AMC Theaters. There were a couple of backdrops that you could take a picture in front of. They announced the new film. The second photo opportunity was character pictures from a local fan group. The characters were not supplied by Disney, but they did a great job and really played their parts.

A local group provided characters

After entering the building there was one more backdrop where pictures could be taken. This was of the Millennium Falcon. Cutouts of the main characters from the film were part of the backdrop.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is rated PG-13. The length is approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes. It stars Alden Ehrenreich as a young Han Solo, and also features Donald Glover as Lando, and Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca. For more Star Wars related fun, attend Star Wars: Galactic Nights on Sunday, May 27. It’s a separate ticketed event, and tickets are still available.
